Trust me, there's plenty wrong
here in Arizona! (whisper in ear) Oh. You meant kyoko. Yes, she claimed to be from Phoenix.

In the "We've got pictures
part 2" thread, Kyoko and I both posted pictures and the comment was made by Kyoko
and tommygungirl that we looked like sisters (blond hair, similiar facial features). Color
me surprised when she posted the picture of her with black hair - all of a sudden she
looked Asian. Of course when I tried to go back to the original thread the picture was no
longer up. But it was definitely a different person in the photo.
I heard that happens.... I watched
the X-men movies and the one character (oh I don't remember her name, I am hitting my head
on the wall) she changes her appearance all the time.... Maybe they are related. I made more cookies by the way, different varities.... I have
been reading this, observing, and I am still clueless.

The cats/posting thing -Cato I thought the same thing. Who the hell comes in and sits

The photos showed no evidence of mangled cats -no fur, no blood, nothing. The dogs cage
actually looked like the owner had gone to lengths to make sure his/her animals were

And, I have to ask, it looks like a willow tree in the picture...do they even grow in
Arizona? They're water sucking leaches. I may have been mistaken, it could be a
cottonwood, but they're water hungry as well.

Huh? Do you guys imagine that all
of Arizona looks like the Rub al Khali of Saudi Arabia? Ever been to Flagstaff? Strange
enough, there are plenty of Willow Trees in the state.

I think that when most people
think of Arizona, they imagine the desert areas, such as Phoenix, and Tucson, I know that
I do, even though I am very familiar with the other parts of the state, such as Flagstaff.
From what I understand, however, Kyoko said that she was in the Phoenix area, so I think
the skepticism is warranted, although I honestly have no idea how well a willow would fare
in that part of the state.

Speaking of confabulists, we've
got an interesting, and very public case happening up here (Canada).
Dar Heatherington, a Lethbridge,
Alberta alderman, was being stalked by an overly attentive civic admirer.
In the beginning he was complimentary, telling her to "keep up the good work."
But by his seventh call (each call taken by her message machine) he was beginning to get a
little personal. She had been out jogging and he reportedly said: "you really looked
hot today...It's nice to see a sexy alderman." By now concerned, Mrs. Heatherington
went to the police -- after first deleting the message. They advised her to block her
calls as they began an investigation.
The problem was, whoever was stalking her seemed to know exactly what they were doing at
all times. The phone messages stopped, but now notes began showing up. The police
installed a hidden video camera but the next six letters which appeared all were left in
places the camera couldn't see. All in all, the Lethbridge police spent almost $20,000
investigating her complaint, all the while becoming increasingly convinced that the
stalker didn't exist.
In the meantime, however, Mrs. Heatherington took a trip to Great Falls, Montana where she
reported that she was kidnapped, drugged, taken to Las Vegas and raped. Following an
investigation into the incident, the American authorities charged her with providing false
information and made her promist to stay out of trouble for one year and seek psychiatric
help.

Thanks for the links to this

England. I did wonder what the heck was going on with this lady.

My mother's already joined and my
wife considers herself an off-board member. The word is spreading. Sort of. I think.
I remember a thread about a year ago about someone lying on another forum. The story told
like stuff about her mom dying, she was pregnant, she crashed her car, etc. all in the
same week or month or day or whatever. The girl used all these graemlins in her post,
which made some people believe she was lying. The post wasn't posted here, but someone
just linked that post from another message board to here (in the Computer forum, IIRC, but
I can't find it.) Anyone remember that thread?

Those are willow trees. There
doesn't seem to be anything to suggest it couldn't be Phoenix. EDIT: Though someone more
familiar might say that you can't grow grass like that in Phoenix. Anyone?
She does say this: "the bitches who did it, outside outside of my neighbors place.
Yes, they are rotweilers... purebreds. My neighbor breeds them, they're insured for quite
a bit, and their puppies bring in $1000 apiece."
Looks like snopesters broke the

This might be true, but I don't
remember that particular smilie changing between themes. I'm more curious about the line
about how archvillian wonders what the forum would look like in twenty-eight days. He is
trying to imply something, but so far he isn't very clear what that is.
Edited for clarity.

she was lying. I see no reason it's unthinkable they both were.

I'm very clearly aware that not
all of Arizona is desert - and I'm also very clearly aware that it is not
"desert" as in "sahara" as well, and that indeed, there are green
things growing there, not just saguaros and sagebrush.
However, a willow is a tree that needs a wet area to keep it going. Not just some water,
but a geniunely wet area...as in "on a waterway" or "above a septic
bed" or "next to a pool." The willow by my aunt's house sent roots out
under their pool and under their house and out to the rain gutter. The tree was in the
backyard, it had roots out front. They are water loving trees.
I live in Colorado, we're high desert, and though we have a fair amount of rain and water,
they don't seem to do well unless they're in a spot water drains into and sits.
Out on the prairie, you only see the cottonwoods around waterways, not smack in the middle
of the prairie where there are cactii growing in the scenic fluffy looking grass hills. No
Laura Ingalls running barefoot through the grass here.
Now, if you still want to smart off to me about how I'm making a blasé assumption that's
on such a grand scale as "all eskimos/inuits/native alaskans whatever the heck you
want to call them live in igloos" I'll have to point out to you that I asked a
question, I did not assume or make a statement of fact.
If you answer all questions this way, I can only hope you're not a teacher by profession.
